About Me

I've always loved a good mystery, and I always knew I wanted to be the one to solve them someday. In hopes of satisfying my curious mind, forensic science was the first path I chose in high school. When some upper level science classes threw me for a loop, and I felt a pull toward writing, I knew it was time to change course. Journalism became my perfect fit. Journalism allows me to solve mysteries with words instead of chemicals and make connections with new people and new ideas. It's the best!

I'm a senior at Oklahoma Christian University and editor in chief of our campus newspaper,  The Talon.  I love keeping my campus informed and documenting fun events with photography!  This past summer was my favorite,  I spent it as an editorial intern for NonDoc Media

For me, writing is more than a career, it is a calling. Truth seeking is a core value of my Christian faith.  I am a passionate truth seeker and I believe all questions deserve answers.  I frequently tell my sources that I am honored to steward their unique stories and I believe everyone has one worth sharing. I love writing news stories but I also enjoy creative writing.  I am particularly interested in investigative journalism because that's where the mysteries are solved.

When I'm not writing, I spend my free time with friends, drinking coffee and eating ice cream.  I also love to travel and try new things.
